The Newfoundland dog is a dog of the sea ;o)

Water dog, draft dog and companian dog - that's what a Newf is..

Newfoundland is a large, strong, heavy-coated, active swimmer dog equally at home in the water and on land - He is a multipurpose dog, capable of heavy work.

He loves to safe - he is a safe guard :o) Sometimes the things he wants to save can vary a lot - from humans - to huge logs!

As far as I'm concerned - The Newf shall be BIG, like the standard says - I don't like to hear people say, it's better to breed a smaller Newf, cause they are more healty!! Then we have lose our Newf...you can breed healty - BIG Newf!

The News shall be big, strong and well muscled - and they shall LOVE water!

The Newfs shall loyal and sweet tempered - a devoted companion!

It's so important that we keep this wonderful characteristic...

A dog who won a beauty contest and may have become a champion, don't say anything about the dogs character - so please keep that in mind... So we wan't lose this sweet tempered dog.

No log can be to BIG for a Newf ;o)

You only have to be very...very stubborn ;o)

A newf doesnt' care where he bath - as long as there is water its okay ;o)

To take a bath in the ocean is one of the favourites ;o)

A real Newf, never hesitate to swim, not even if it's in the middle of the winter ;o)

Well.... ;o) Sometimes it can happen things you didn't expect :o)

After many pleasant hours - It can be nice just to relax for a while ;o)

...but...a Newf can never rest to long, not when the ocean lays beside ;o)
