Here I would like to show you how i trim my newfs
ears!
Unfortunately it is a bit difficult to show how to do it on photos -
But at least it's a little hint ;o)
I will also remind you that this is only my own way to trim !
| A untrimmed newf ear-
Here you can see how long the coat has become,
you can hardly see the newfs ear any longer. |
Start comb the coat, then lift the newfies ear up so you can follow the ears shape when you trim.
Use a thinning shears since this reduces the risk of cutting your newf in his ear, and of trimming unevenly. |
|
I have put a piece of white paper behind his ear just to show you as good as possible, so you don't need this when you dot it your self :o)
I Continue to follow the shape of the ear with the thinning shears until i am satisfied with the results.
When you trim, try to cut enough, enough is as good as a feast.
The first times you trim your newf, shall count as experiments :o) |
Now you can clearly see that there is a ear behind all the fur :o) |
At last you trim off all the hair that sticks out.
|
The dog is very happy when it's over:o)
