HEAT STROKE

Heat stroke occurs when a pet's internal body temperature rises to levels high enough to lead to death- extremely high body temperature, usually more than 41 degrees!

Poor ventilation, and high ambient temperatures, such as that produced in direct sunlight.

Health and weight of your pet plays a roll to, the thickness of the hair coat, availability of fresh water, recent feeding your dog?, and even a pet's own temperament can elevate body temperature.

Symptom: Panting, vomiting, dry warm skin, red gums, staring appearance.

After that, the dog will collapse, coma and die.

Treatment: Must have its body temperature reduced quickly!!
Most effective is immediate immersion in a cold water.
Ice packs is not good, thoug it can causses overcooling instead.
Massaged gently the skin, flexed your dogs legs frequently to encourage blood circulation.

Take your friend to the veterinary as quickly as possible!

Remember that can occur surprisingly fast - so don't even left your dog for a short while in the sun.

If you see a dog in a warm car with these signs, break the window!!
