FLEA

Dogs and cats often get infested with fleas through contact with other animals or contact with fleas in the environment.   The flea's bite can cause itching for the host but for a sensitive or flea-allergic animal, this itching can be quite severe and leads to hair-loss, inflammation and secondary skin infections.  Some pets, hypersensitive to the flea's saliva, will itch all over from the bite of even a single flea! !

Fleas lay their eggs in dusty areas, rugs, and cracks between floorboards. The eggs hatch and produce larvae that then form cocoons. The cocoons lie dormant and can live for up to a year. The adult flea emerges in response to vibrations from footsteps.

OBS! Once your dog has flea - the whole house has flea. So, don't forget to get rid of them in your house to...
