Sam " The eternally puppy" is what people call him! His name by the kennel is " Waljo Rover " and he come from Waljos kennel , his parents name is:
Father: SUCH NUCH Maurizio
Mother: Krindanbra lady Meesha
Sam is a very HAPPY dog, his playful, intelligent and expectant, and he have only one thing on his mind SWIM; SWIM..... If he were to decide we would be living in the water.
In fact we live with the ocean all around us, but that's not enough, he is only satisfied when his in the water!!
I remember that Sam's breeder told us, if we were living near a river, there was a risk that he might escape down to the river;-) Guess if Sam has run away from us many times? But it's easy to find him, he is always in the sea, swimming like a seal!
Well I always said that I wanted a dog that loved to swim, but in this case there is no limit.
It's not always that fun, having a wet dog into your home, but that's it!
His not for nothing a waterdog!!
The first time I went swimming with Sam, was a nightmare..I thought he should drown me! He became possessed and flew right on me in the water, His instinct told him to save me, the problem was just how,?? Well we ended up fighting in the water, me trying to breath, and Sam with his anxious to save me. (He thought I was drowning the silly little dog).
Anyway, I was completed striped by his claws ;o).
I started to train him, which he thought was the greatest training of all! After that he took the SoR test.
Yeah you certain can say that Sam is a freak in the water, he is more like a fish than a dog! Our friends even know that they not shall say the word " Swim, bath" because then he freaks out, and don't stops crying until he is in the water.
Sam has very easy to learn and he is always one step further in his mind, about things he would like to do, and that is much.. If I compare with Don, then Sam is a workaholic, he really wants to work!
He pull, and carry things, and it has to be heavy, big things. If it is too small and easy, than he ignores it. If we should throw a small stick into the water, he only would glare on it, but if you take a big, big one, most gladly a log, then he speeds up, sometimes he cries because there to heavy and big but he never gives up.
When I think of Newfies; then I have a picture in my head of a calm dog, who walks gently, but that's not a correct picture were Sam fits in. I got so much more..
