Just a little about Don! Don, The calm..The grateful!!
He comes from Zambassadoursgardens kennel and his kennel name is Don Von Contrue
Father: SUCH NUCH INTUCH Qashiwas Chalabalic.
Mother: Qashiwas Power of Love.
We got Don when he was about three years old, he had then lived on a kennel for his entire life.
Honestly I didn't thought it would work out because first of all he had been on a kennel all hi slife, and wasn't use to live in a home, and then of course Sam who could be rather dominant sometimes.
But after some fights in the beginning with Sam then everything has really turned better out then I could believe.
Don is a very grateful dog, he feels a big love for teddy bears.. If I compare to Sam who thinks it's ridiculous with teddy bears and only thinks they god enough for chewing apart.
Don want's to cuddle, he can't get enough, while Sam thinks it's silly and rather want's to tease and play.
Don also loves his home, he thinks it's okay to drive away for a while, but it is very important for him to come home again - home to all his teddy bears :o)
When it comes to swimming in the ocean, you can't say that Don is any fanatic about swimming.
He thinks it's more then enough just laying at the waterside and just relaxing and enjoying the sea :o)
We have after lots of training learned him to come out to us in the sea.
But he is a little nervous and unsure of him self in the water, so he is always looking back towards.
When he finally have reached out to us (not so far out) he puts his paws on our shoulders and take a deep breathe.
It's rather a god idea if you can touch the bottom your self, otherwise you will sink to Don's big fear.
But don't think that he let's you go!!! Oh no he hangs on..Talk about a real lifeguard dog!!
Guess if we have entertained many this summer? Well Don is a very kind, nice and calm dog a real teddy bear who eats his food without problems, and he also takes Sam's if he might cause Sam eats like a mouse!
Don can also be very slow and sluggish...you need to demand time and patience if you shall teach him anything!! Because he gets very quickly tired..
I remember when I should teach him " Paws" . This is usually very easy for a dog to learn and not special difficult...But for Don??? ;o)
After two weeks of daily nag, I thought for my self, he must be the most slowest, brainless dog in the world and I had more or less given up, when he suddenly did " Paws" ;o)
I got so happy and cheered out...And Don he got even more happy then me and didn't stop to wave with his paw :o)
He run on me and hit me with his paw, it was almost like " I can do it, and I want stop now"
I couldn't stop laughing at him because he was so cute and proud of him self, but while I was laughing he knocked me down with his great "Paws", so now I know how "Paws" feel and maybe that is something to have in mind next time I shall teach him something??
